The Linux equivalent for the Dell Power Manager installs with a single command and once I get through the voluminous user guide is pretty easy to use. I really need to get Linux reinstalled on this machine. I'm reminded of the line from Kill Bill "You didn't think it was gonna be that easy, did you?" Dell Power Manager is the utility that sets battery charging profiles & charging behavior and also sets thermal profiles & system performance. I returned to the store and installed Depp Power Manager (dodging MSFT's attempt to get me to sign in with my Live account) and Viola! I now have a fully functioning Dell Power Manager.

In the end I get a message that I need to install something from the MSFT store. Optimize eye comfort with a flicker-free screen and low blue light feature. During installation I get some popups including one that is too small (on a QHD screen) to read so I cross my fingers and click the blue button which I presume will do whatever needs to be done. 0.3 W standby power when in Standby Mode.

Now I return to the Dell page and click the download link for Dell Power Manager. (Well Done again, MSFT!) Now I recall that the entries used to be found under "Installed Software" in older versions of Windows so I search for Install and find what I'm looking for.

(Well done MSFT!) Go to settings and search Software - find entries related to Software updates. No uninstall option is found in the store. I open the MSFT store so I can uninstall Dell Power Manager in preparation to install directly from Dell. See the system event log for failure information. Warning! An unexpected error occurred during the last action. Now I'm presented with a black popup that states I thought it wise to provide Dell some feedback so I clicked the "Give us your feedback" icon on the lower left corner of the Dell Power Manager app. Well done Dell! This is not exactly a frictionless experience.

There are no drivers that meet the filter criteria you've applied. I click through, enter my service tag and enter "DPM" in search criteria. Try checking the URL/address for errors or visit the Support page and select your product to begin a new search. It may be that the link you followed to get here is not working. We couldn't find the file you are looking for. When I open it I see a popup that tells me to install the Dell DPM component directly from Dell and provides a "More Info" link. I go with the Windows store since that is likely to be the least friction. Google finds me a page at that tells me it is available in the store or directly from Dell. Today I'm running Windows (installed from the MSFT download, not the factory installation so I decided to do it using the Dell Power Manager app. Now (post software update) the charging light flickering has stopped.I've used the Custom charging scheme on my XPS 13 (9370) and set it either using the Linux app or directly in the BIOS. The harder I pushed the laptop, the more frequent the charging lights would turn on and off). What annoyed me (and now appears fixed) was the charging light before it would continually turn on and off every 5-15 sec (depending on what I was using the laptop for. The battery doesn't sit fully charged for weeks on end, which (hopefully) will mean a longer lasting battery in the future.

I can use the laptop when moving from home to work, or when I move into a meeting for a few hours. At around 50% capacity, I have enough capacity for a few hours hours of solid use. To preserve the battery (even though it's a work laptop, I'd still prefer not to needlessly degrade the battery), I set custom charge value (stars charging below 50%, stops charging at 55%). Like the OP, I have my laptop plugged into wall power most of the time. A late response to this thread, but I finally got it to work right on my work laptop (it's a Latitude for what it's worth).
